• Sporting Provisions

Fitzalan pupils have use of excellent sporting facilities for both PE Lessons and extra curricular activities. On site there is a 25m four lane swimming pool complete with dive boards for competent swimmers as well as an easy to access pool for complete beginners.  We have a junker floor sports hall with space for 4 badminton courts, basketball, volleyball, 5-A-Side football or indoor hockey and cricket nets as well as a mirrored dance / activity studio plus a fitness gallery with viewing over the sports hall. Externally, we have 2, 3G pitches with one grass pitch as well as 4 MUGA courts. We also have two purpose designed PE classrooms for the delivery of examination classes.

Pupils well-being has become ever more important, therefore all pupils are required to take part in physical education, food & nutrition and well-being lessons as part of the school curriculum. Pupils have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities after school: there is a late bus provision to transport pupils taking part in after school activities.
