Butetown Food Pantry Voucher Donation
Late last year, Mr Smith was approached by a member of Fitzalan staff who had won a large amount of shopping vouchers in a supermarket competition.
The staff member who wanted to remain anonymous wanted to donate the prize to charity and asked if the Fitzalan Charity Committee would give the vouchers to a worthy cause. Over recent years, as a school we have collected money and donations for the Butetown Food Pantry and it was decided that they would be able to use the vouchers to help and support people in our community.
On Wednesday 18th January, Mr Steve Khaireh (School Governor) came into school to collect the supermarket vouchers that amounted to £2500.
The Charity Committee would like to thank the staff member for the generous donation and for asking us to be involved.
We also hope that the vouchers are useful to the Butetown Food Pantry who do an amazing job in our community.
