Cardiff University SHARE With Schools visit

On Wednesday 13th March, the history department were visited by Cardiff University SHARE With Schools.  The team delivered sessions about archaeological science to Year 7 classes where they explored how different scientific approaches can answer questions in archaeology.

Classes were divided into groups which then used scientific evidence to identify and find out about individuals from the past.  There was an Iron Age woman, the Amesbury Archer (Bronze Age) and a Tudor man from the shipwreck, the Mary Rose, amongst others.

The Year 7 pupils enjoyed the engaging and interactive sessions and we are very grateful that SHARE With Schools shared their expertise, so that we could see another aspect of archaeological and historical research.
