The 12th December 2024 saw the return of the fantastic Fitzalan Winter Festival. This enormous event was entirely organised and developed by the school’s phenomenal Senior Student Team and the School Council.
Historically, the Winter Festival has been an event to celebrate the multicultural diversity within the school, as well as reflect on the success at the end of the first term. Unfortunately, with the move to the new school building, the festival was put on hold…
…Until this year! 3 months’ worth of expert planning culminated in one of the largest after-school events that the school has seen.
The festival had it all: a tuck shop; beautifully designed, delicate henna tattoos; festive, mesmerising music; jolly games that attracted the fun seeking and serious natured; and most importantly on a Winter’s day, the hot chocolate! The festival certainly exceeded expectations as the main hall was swarmed with pupils, parents and staff, all of whom, had a smile from ear to ear.
Although the final total is yet to be determined, the funds raised will all be donated to the Fitzalan Family Fund. The Senior Student Team and School Council are extremely grateful for everyone’s support and are already looking forward to helping the school further!
