On Thursday 13th March 2025, 53 Year 8 pupils visited Bristol Aquarium with the geography department. The pupils have been studying the geographical enquiry topic of ‘how can my footprints improve the future?' and the trip provided the students with a better understanding of the environments and habitats found around the world, with a particular focus on marine ecosystems.
The students experienced a guided tour of the aquarium and discussed the positive and negative human impacts on the aquatic environment including marine pollution and the prevalent issue of plastics to coral bleaching and global warming. The pupils also took part in an exclusive fish feeding experience which encouraged them to connect to the natural world.
